Gowan Clews

Gowan Clews temporarily moved to London in 1985 and is still here. Orchestral pop and rock are favourites, but he enjoys melodic and interesting music of any genre.

He has coached hundreds of runners from around the world, though not all at the same time. In 2007 he entered the BBC’s songwriting competition to get London singing at the 2012 Olympics. Nope, no one heard his or anyone else’s entry!

Both parents were journalists; Gowan reads local news and events bulletins that are broadcast 20 minutes past and 20 minutes to the hour, every hour.

He presents “What’s On Guide to Hayes & local areas” every Monday 3-4pm, with eclectic music and comedy. The show finishes with “Let’s dance”.

All events are on Northolt Local (https://www.northoltlocal.co.uk/events.php)

“Gowan’s Variety Show: Music, Fun & Games” is every Tuesday 1-3pm. Light-hearted quizzes, inspirational quotes, things children say and comedy. Plus music new & old, to delight & interest you.

A complete playlist for each show, with links for all the artists plus YouTube videos of them in action, is posted after each show on the Facebook page:
